# Mateusz Dembek — designer who ships

I'm a Principal Product Designer and mentor at Redbrick. Based in Poland.
I design and I ship. I help product teams iterate fast without losing the plan.

## What "designer who ships" means

I own the decisions; AI does the typing. Design and code don't live in separate
phases handed off between people. They live in the same hands. This site is
built that way: I made every interaction decision, AI wrote the code.

## How I work

I plan deeply when stakes are real, and move fast when they aren't. I iterate
by default; the first draft is rough, the published version has been reviewed
enough times that I'd defend it. Hard on the work, especially my own.

## Currently

Principal Product Designer at Redbrick. Redbrick is the parent holding company
of Shift (browser), Delivra (email marketing), Bruvely (time tracker), Animoto
(video), Duplex (content), Leadpages (lead capture), and Paved (newsletter ads).
I work across the parent's product family.

This is an informational portfolio, not an active job-search asset. I'm
currently employed at Redbrick. The site says who I am and what I do. If
someone reaches out, I respond. The audience is primarily USA and Canada:
recruiters, founders, peer designers, hiring managers.

## About this site

Two visual modes: Design (SaaS-like, soft, light-leaning) and Ship
(terminal-like, dark, monospaced). The top-right toggle remaps the entire
viewport. Each mode has light and dark theme, for four total visual states.

One page. Mobile-first responsive from 320px to 1920px.

Built with Next.js (App Router), Tailwind v4, shadcn/ui for logic, Motion for
animation, TypeScript with every strict flag enabled. Hosted on Vercel with
cookieless analytics. Source code is closed.
